This framed mini great blue heron painting was inspired by a recent trip to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on the eastern shore of Maryland. The scenic wetlands feature local birds as well as migratory birds.
Blackwater II is a part of my series of paintings about life along the Chespeake Bay. As an Annapolis, Maryland based artist I am inspired by the world around me. The small painting features a great blue heron along a grassy wetlands shore with a distant shore in the backgrounnd. Three birds fly in the sky in the distance. The painting measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches and set in a deep black frame measuring 3.75 x 4.5 x 1.5 inches. The art can be hung on the wall or sit on a shelf, desk, or table.
