Much of my recent work celebrates the joy of flowers. They are filled with brilliant color and charm. I relish the moment in early spring when color returns to the world. Bulbs bring charming flowers such as daffodils and crocuses, and leaves begin to grow. As summer blooms, I am intrigued by the variety of petals and leaves, color combinations, and structure. I spend hours drawing them before beginning a painting.

My mixed media paintings are created with bold acrylic colors - sometimes straight out of the tube. A strong black line accents the color and moves you through the piece. I use a combination of mark making tools to create my work including brushes, paint markers, and handmade stamps.
