The birds have landed! During the pandemic I began a sketchbook focusing on the birds and the bees (and other pollinators and critters). I used it as a way to explore how I could incorporate more animals into my work. It seems like a natural progression from painting flowers to move on to including nature's friends.
My first set of bird paintings includes robin, bluebird, hummingbird, cardinal, oriole, and raven (since I live in Maryland). They are all now freshly varnished and framed and ready for their new homes!
